The visible timber surfaces define the architectural quality of the kindergarten and create a warm and natural atmosphere. At the same time, the high-quality interior design placed demanding requirements on both material selection and fastening technology. Thus, a fastening solution was required that could integrate as discreetly as possible into the timber surfaces while still ensuring a durable and reliable connection. Conventional metallic fasteners would have visually disrupted the natural appearance of the interior cladding and conflicted with the project’s all-timber construction approach. With LIGNOLOC®, the interior cladding could be installed without visible metallic fasteners. The wooden nails blend harmoniously into the surface of the spruce panels, creating a calm and clean architectural appearance.
