for your apprenticeship at BECK.
"At BECK, we don’t just train skilled workers; we empower personalities. It is important to me that our apprentices feel from day one that their opinions matter and that they are part of our large company family – because 'handshake quality' starts with mutual trust right from the beginning of their training."
Any doubts left? Let’s talk.
Working hours for our apprentices vary depending on the specific trade. You can find detailed information about the exact schedule for each position on our dedicated job pages. There, we’ve summarized everything clearly so you can get a realistic picture of your future daily routine. Generally, our working hours are based on Austrian legal regulations for apprentices as well as operational needs – always communicated transparently from the start.
Yes, there is a three-month probationary period at the start of your apprenticeship. This time gives both you and the company the chance to get to know each other and see if working together meets everyone’s expectations. The goal of the probation period is to ensure a smooth start to your training and to make sure you feel comfortable and can reach your full potential within our team.
Vocational school is a vital part of your apprenticeship. That’s why we provide the best possible support to ensure you have a successful start and long-term learning success.
Even before you start your first year of school, we offer math tutoring during working hours. This helps close any knowledge gaps and ensures you are perfectly prepared for class. If you need extra help later on, we can organize additional tutoring - which, of course, is completely free of charge for our apprentices.
In addition, we provide free office supplies so you are fully equipped for your school days. For your commute to vocational school, you can use the 'Apprentice Free Travel' (Lehrlingsfreifahrt) pass on public transport, meaning no extra travel costs for you.
With these measures, we make sure you can stay focused on what matters most: your training and your academic success.
No, overtime is generally not expected of our apprentices, as our focus is clearly on your training and learning. It is important to us that you have enough time for your school requirements and your personal development.
There is only one minor exception per year: our apprentices help out for one weekend at an apprentice fair in the Braunau district. This is a great opportunity to represent your profession and the company. Of course, this commitment is fully compensated.
Apprentice training at BECK is carried out in cooperation with strong partners such as the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) and the Training Center (ABZ).
Through the WKO, our apprentices benefit from high-quality training sessions and the latest industry standards. The ABZ complements this with hands-on training where technical knowledge is deepened in a targeted way.
In addition, BECK collaborates with various partners to organize team events and social coaching sessions that strengthen our apprentices' personal development and team spirit.
As a result, apprentices at BECK benefit from high-quality, holistic training with the very best career prospects.
Our apprenticeship training usually kicks off in August. To increase your chances of landing a spot, we recommend applying early in the spring. This ensures there is enough time for the entire application process, and you’ll typically receive your acceptance before the school year ends.
In some cases, we do hire apprentices throughout the year if additional needs arise. However, applying in the spring remains the best way to secure your spot. We encourage all interested candidates to apply as early as possible for the best start to their career.
Yes, completing an apprenticeship via a second-career path is absolutely possible with us. We welcome young people straight out of school as well as adults or career changers looking for a fresh professional start.
In fact, several of our apprentices have already successfully completed their training through this second-career route. We provide individual support to every apprentice to ensure a successful start in their new profession - regardless of whether they are joining us directly from school or already have prior work experience.
With this flexible approach to training, we offer opportunities for anyone looking to grow and pursue a solid, high-quality vocational education.
