Sustainable living with clear architecture

The single-family home in Aschaffenburg was built from locally sourced spruce and provides space for a family of six. The shell, ceilings, floors, and stairs were constructed from timber, while the exterior features a uniform metal façade. The interior walls were made of three-ply spruce panels and fastened on both sides with LIGNOLOC® wooden nails by BECK – creating pure wood-to-wood connections, metal-free construction, and full circularity.

Ecological concept for healthy living

The homeowners plastered the walls themselves using clay from the construction site, creating a natural indoor climate free of chemicals. Heating is provided by a Roman stove and infrared ceiling panels powered by a photovoltaic system. Hot water is supplied by an instantaneous water heater – efficient, low-maintenance, and sustainable.
