“Wood is much more than a construction material – it defines the character and perception of a building. Projects like Herning Osteopati demonstrate the importance of fastening solutions that enhance the natural qualities of timber while enabling new architectural possibilities.”

Designed for Lasting Beauty

The architectural concept of Herning Osteopati is defined by clean lines and the deliberate use of natural materials. The vertical cedar cladding gives the building a warm and timeless appearance while reflecting the Scandinavian approach of integrating architecture harmoniously into its surroundings. To carry this consistent material concept through to the smallest detail, LIGNOLOC® wooden nails by BECK were selected for fastening the cedar wood façade. By connecting wood with wood, visible metal components are completely eliminated from the façade. This helps prevent staining and discoloration that can occur over time with conventional fasteners. At the same time, the wooden nails blend naturally into the surface and can be sanded together with the timber during future maintenance or renovation work. As a result, the natural appearance of the cedar facade is preserved for years to come.

Visible timber surfaces perfected

In high-quality facade projects, details make all the difference. Visible screws or metal fasteners can interrupt the natural appearance of timber surfaces and distract from the architectural concept. For this project, the façade elements were installed using 58 mm LIGNOLOC® wooden nails with heads. The wooden fasteners blend seamlessly into the timber surface, supporting a uniform façade appearance and allowing the natural beauty of the cedar wood to remain the focal point.
