Iconic Award for LIGNOLOC® with head
Winner of the Iconic Award 2022, the new LIGNOLOC® wooden nail with a head continues to ride the wave of success. BECK’s ecological nail for exterior and interior applications was convincing in the »construction materials / nails« category.

The statement of the jury
LIGNOLOC® wooden nails, collated for use in compressed air nail guns, permit the realization of horizontal and vertical wood cladding completely out of wood. This results in metal-free facades, which not only support the requirements of the recycling industry in terms of disassembly and recyclability, but also reduce the wear on tools during grinding or sawing. A revolutionary, ecological attachment system using wood as a recyclable raw material. The wood is Central European beech and comes from sustainable FSC forestry, which consequently makes an important contribution to a sustainable transition in the building industry.
An award for the whole world of architecture
»ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Architecture», established by the German Design Council, is the first independent international architecture and design competition to take into account the interplay between the various disciplines. Awards are given to visionary buildings, innovative products and sustainable communication in all sectors of architecture, the construction and real estate business and the manufacturing industries. The focus is on holistic production and interaction between the trades in the context of architecture.
Categories and awards
An appropriate number of entries in each of the five categories »Architecture«, »Interior«, »Product«, »Communication« and »Concept«, as well as the superordinate »Innovative Material« category, are awarded a »Selection« or »Winner« label. In addition, outstanding entries in each category receive the distinction of the »Best of the Best« label.
The 2022 jury
An independent and knowledgeable jury will decide who wins the ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Architecture. The jury will be made up of representatives of the fields of architecture, interior design, design and brand communications.
